Doc Tour Knowledge Share at Encounters 2018

First Aid for docs that aim to travel

Doc Tour 2018 is a one-day event in collaboration with Encounters South African international Documentary Festival. It is aimed at young professionals and seasoned filmmakers. In the morning is a training workshop with selected participants and, in the afternoon, a knowledge sharing forum. Following the half-day workshop for young filmmakers we will have an industry session to address issues that affect filmmakers. The Forum will address the following critical Issues

  1. Doc funding, film incentives and rebates with a specific focus on the NFVF support, IDC funding and DTI incentives.
  2. Co-Productions at home and abroad
  3. Impact Producing, Outreach & Marketing
  4. Case Studies of Docs that Travel
